Dear Friends in Christ;

We have been making preparations to resume worship services at Prince of Peace.  We have reviewed guidelines for opening and intend to maintain social distancing as well as provide appropriate cleaning.  You are welcome on Sunday.  However, if you have any reservations or health concerns, are sick or running a fever, or are in an at-risk group, it is OK to remain at home.  Your health and safety are very important at this time.

What to expect on Sunday morning:

  • Bulletins will not be passed out, but instead will be available on a table as you enter.
  • The offering collection will be via a basket in the back of the sanctuary where you can drop your offering at any time – the baskets will not be passed from person to person.
  • Seating will be in every-other row. We ask that seating be by family groups and that there be 3 empty chairs between groups.
  • We would encourage you to wear a face mask.
  • There will be less singing.
  • Communion will be by family groups on each side of the communion rail with minimal handling of the bread and wine. Cups will be disposed of in a basket upon leaving the communion rail.
  • Pastor will wear a mask if not maintaining a 12-foot separation.

We will continue to offer an online version of the worship service. We are unable at this time to live-stream the service, but we will provide a video recording of an abbreviated version of the service.  This will be posted on the church’s Web page at and the church’s Facebook page.  Click on “Connect” and then “Today’s Sermon” to view.  A copy of the liturgy for the service is also posted under “Connect” so that you can follow the readings and the song.

In Christ,
